Peng Wang, a Ph.D. student in the ECE Department working with Prof. Rajesh Menon, won the University-level Innovation in Technology competition. As a winner of this competition, he will represent the University of Utah at the national Innovation in Technology competition sponsored by the Western Association of Graduate Schools (WAGS).
The winner will be announced in March 2017 at the WAGS annual meeting in Seattle, WA. The Innovation in Technology Award recognizes the innovative application of technology to scholarship, as shown in the research supporting either a master’s thesis or a doctoral dissertation. Initial screening is based on originality, creativity, scholarly significance of the use of technology, and overall quality. We wish Peng good luck.
