The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Utah seeks applications to fill multiple tenure-track positions at all levels. The Department has strong programs in Solid State/MEMS/Circuits, Systems and Signal Processing, Computer Engineering, EM/Optics, and Power Systems and Control. Our strategic plans for growth specifically target machine learning/artificial intelligence/data science and robotics/embedded systems. Candidates with expertise in these areas are strongly encouraged to apply. The Department is particularly interested in candidates who can bridge different research areas, and will consider candidates who demonstrate exceptional potential for leading a high-impact research program in any area of electrical and computer engineering or in a closely connected interdisciplinary field.
All candidates must have a strong teaching aptitude in core areas of our curriculum. Faculty responsibilities include developing and maintaining an internationally recognized research program, effective classroom teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels, and professional service.
