ECE Students Awarded for Senior Projects

On Friday, April 30th the department of Electrical and Computer Engineering hosted a virtual event to honor graduating seniors and present faculty and student awards.

Students were given the opportunity to present their senior projects at an Open House held on April 27th. Family and friends were in attendance to celebrate their student and show support.

Students received awards in various areas including outstanding research, exemplary teamwork, academic excellence, strong leadership, excellent engineering design and project knowledge.

Outstanding Electrical Engineering Senior Project Award Winner Collin Pollard

Collin received this award for his "Smart Helmet" research. He was given this award for his effectiveness in both presentations skills and project knowledge.

Electrical Engineering Student Excellence Award Winner Tina Hayward

This award is for a senior student who has a variety of skills and talents and has dedicated their time to various areas. This could include but is not limited to: involvement, leadership, peer support, volunteering, academics, research, and more. Consider this a "best all-around" award.

Electrical Engineering Outstanding Teaching Assistant Award Winner Alex Hardman

This award is for the student who stood out as an outstanding TA or Tutor for ECE.

Computer Engineering Student Excellence Award Winner Jon Evans

Computer Engineering Outstanding Student Researcher Award Winner Princess Tara Zamani

This award is for a senior student that has made an outstanding impact through undergraduate research.

Project Design Excellence Award Winner Henry Crandall

This award was given to several individuals based on their excellent engineering design work. They received the highest evaluations in design and engineering processes. Henry received this award for his project "Gradient Coding”
