Ten University of Utah research teams were awarded 1U4U Seed Grants of up to $50,000. These cross-disciplinary research teams have come together to pursue groundbreaking research themed around “The Future of Sustainability.”

 

The Electrical and Computer Engineering department is delighted to announce that ECE associate professor Heayoung Yoon was a member of one such selected research team.

Yoon and her team, which includes Sarah Hinners (Red Butte Garden & Arboretum) and Timothy Adekunle (Architecture), will research “Sustainable Urban Green Spaces Integrated with Translucent Solar Technology.” By combining their distinct skills, the team hopes to promote sustainability in a long-lasting and highly impactful way.
