Research Assignment/s for ECE 5320 and ECE 6322 Students

You have six weeks to complete the research Assignment/s. The purpose of the assignments is for you to learn one or more of these topics covered in class in depth and prepare a short report of 3-4 pages giving the state of the art and the recent applications of the selected technology.

Students registered for ECE 5320 are required to submit a report on one of the topics while students registered for ECE 6322 must submit reports on Two rather than one of the topics.

Some but not all of the following topics are taken from the areas of coverage at the forthcoming International Microwave Symposium arranged by the IEEE:

  • Microwave/RF Devices for Wireless Health Care Applications
  • High Power Microwave Industrial Applications ( Heating Applications in Plastics, Sintering, Chemistry etc.)
  • Solid State Power Amplifiers and Oscillators — Devices and Circuits
  • Phased Arrays for Wireless Communication Systems( e.g. Vehicular Navigation ,Collision Avoidance Radars for Automobiles, Satellite and Indoor Systems)
  • High Power Solid State Amplifiers and Oscillators
  • Wireless Communications in the Broadband Era
  • Microwave power Dividers and Power Combiners
  • Microwave Filters and Their Applications , etc.

Or Any Other Topic Pertinent to the Subject Matter of this Class.

Due Date for One or Both of the Reports is Friday, November 21, 2014
